United Association and United Union of Roofers, Waterproofers and Allied Workers Approve Historic Affiliation Agreement
The Executive Board of Local 11 would like to announce that the Roofer's International Union and the United Association have formed an affiliation with each other. This affiliation will help create a stronger presence for the Roofer's and Waterproofers Union in the future. This will not change any contract, work rules, health and welfare contributions, pay rates or representation issues for our members. We will keep our own autonomy during this affiliation. We will keep you up to date and forward information as we receive it. There is an article below that describes how our unions will work together in the water recapture market. This is a great opportunity for us to increase the technological aspects of water retention and recapture as it relates to the roofing industry. If you have any questions about this affiliation please do not hesitate to call the office!

Join us as we serve the needs of the innocent children who fight an ongoing battle against pediatric cancer and the devastating toll it takes on them and their families. Support us as we serve our Illinois veterans who defended their nation overseas, but the war continues for them when they return home. PTSD, long-term medical conditions, and the struggle for gainful employment and basic necessity of shelter.
Their battles continue, ours has just begun.
Weingarten Rights
Weingarten Rights cards are available at the union office and given to all new apprentices entering Local 11.
YOU HAVE RIGHTS! If a supervisor or other management/security representative requests an investigatory meeting with you and if you have reasonable cause to believe that such a meeting may result in disciplinary action, including a warning, you have the right to request Union representation. You should take the following actions if a supervisor or other management/security representative desires to meet with you. WEINGARTEN RIGHTS -- USE THEM, KNOW THEM! Management will not tell you about your rights!
