Important Scholarship Information
The following scholarships are available to Local 11 members and their families who meet the specific scholarship requirements.
Each individual scholarship has its’ own requirements and rules for application. It is very important that you are aware of the APPLICATION RULES and DEADLINES for each scholarship. Application deadlines can be as early as February 1st to as late as April 1st in the year the scholarship is offered.
If you have missed an application deadline we encourage you to read the following scholarship application rules and requirements, so that you are better prepared to make an application for next years scholarship offerings when they become available.
Please be aware that the rules and applications for each scholarship are different, and not all scholarships are offered every year.
Local 11 will be partnering with the Chicago Roofing Council Scholarship Program and we will be providing three additional scholarships for Local 11 members children.

2021 CISCO Scholarship Applications Are Now Available
Must be Postmarked by February 19, 2021
CISCO has begun to accept applications for its long-standing Annual Scholarship Awards Program. Applications for for this program are available by clicking on one of the three types of scholarship awards below.
The three scholarship program categories are: 1) Four-year college scholarships for high school seniors;
2) Two-year awards for seniors planning on attending a community college; and 3) Two-year continuing education awards to union members or contractor employees.

2021 WILLIAM A. LEE MEMORIAL
Each year, the Chicago Federation of Labor awards 10 scholarships to high school seniors, valued at $2,000 each. The funds may be used at any accredited college or university in the United States.
Completed applications must be received by the Chicago Federation of Labor by 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2021. The Chicago Federation of Labor is located at 130 E. Randolph Street, Suite 2600, Chicago, IL 60601. Applications may be dropped off at the office Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Mailed applications must be postmarked by Monday, Feb. 10, 2021.

2021 CRCA Scholarship
Must be postmarked/emailed by March 5, 2021
The Chicago Roofing Contractors Association will award at least one $4,000 renewable scholarship to a high school senior who will enter college in August or September each year in the following programs – liberal arts and sciences, engineering, architecture or business. The scholarship recipient will be selected on the basis of academic performance, faculty recommendation, extracurricular activities, employment experience, and a demonstrated interest in a productive career.
Beginning in 2019, scholarships will be awarded by the CRCA Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization. To learn more about the CRCA Foundation, visit CRCA.org/CRCAFoundation

The Contractors Association of Will and Grundy Counties
The Contractors Association of Will and Grundy Counties' Scholarship chair Becky Fallin, President of RHL Insulation and Firestopping, Inc. is pleased to announce the Annual CAWGC Scholarship Program. Since the program's inception in 1996, the association has awarded over $100,000 to deserving scholars who will be pursuing degrees the construction field.
Applicants must be the son/daughter of an owner OR Applicant must be a son/daughter of a full-time employee of a CAWGC member company OR a son/daughter of a Will/Grundy union building tradesman, who will be attending college full-time in the Fall of 2021 or a present full-time college student who is pursuing an undergraduate degree.
A construction related major and a "C or better" average is also required. The application deadline is March 12, 2021. An interview will be required for all first-time finalists. Recipients will be announced in April.
Each year, since 1988, the Chicagoland Roofing Council Trustees have offered an annual renewable scholarship. This scholarship is awarded annually to a person entering a 4 year accredited college or university, a community college, or a vocational training center.
To qualify for the scholarship, the student must be a high school graduate who is a dependent of a member of a Chicagoland Roofing Council Contractor firm and the United Union of Roofers, Waterproofers and Allied Workers Local 11, or CRC Contractor office personnel. Awards are made based on need and aptitude.
Continued funding takes place each year once the scholarship is awarded. Renewal funding after each year requires proof of maintaining a satisfactory progress in a field of study. All persons described above, irrespective of race, gender, creed, or national origin, who satisfy the eligibility requirements and submit a complete application by March 5, 2020, are eligible.
Application requirements include the application form, an official transcript of all high school records, and a completed evaluation form from a high school administrator or faculty member. Finalists must be available for a personal interview, if necessary.
